About Alcohol, Tobacco and other Drugs (Grades 7-12)
Teach Me! is a 45-minute drug awareness presentation for students in grades 7 through 12. Students first discuss and identify characteristics of positive role-models they have in their life. Further discussion makes the connection between strong character, commitment and individual goals that will create success in school and life. The second half of the session guides the students through a group process to become knowledgeable about how drugs and alcohol affect the body. They then become ‘expert’ students and are given the opportunity to present the new information to their peers in a way that makes the lesson fun and interactive for all participants.
This presentation can be tailored to highlight alcohol, tobacco or any other specific drug including cocaine, heroin, marijuana, prescription pills, inhalants, amphetamines, hallucinogens or steroids.
