Too Smart To Start (Grades 4-6)

Too Smart Too Start is a one-session research-based education program designed to educate students about the harmful effects of alcohol use. Students participate in this interactive class while learning about the effects of alcohol on their developing brains and ways to manage peer pressure and acceptance. Students learn refusal skills, create a list of those to trust and call in an uncomfortable situation or emergency and are shown how to share this information with parents/guardians to reinforce the newly learned information. The program is generally 45 minutes in length however, it can be modified to fit the needs of the school/community.
